all-purpose/plain flour baking powder sugar margarine/vegan butter raisins/currants or sultanas cinnamon powder mixed spice or pumpkin spice powder plant milk

Cook Time: 30 Min

Using fingertips rub the margarine into the flour, baking powder and sugar until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs...

Once the mixture resembles breadcrumbs add the dried fruit and spices...

01 25% daily serving of Vitamin C

Stir to combine...

Step 4

Add enough plant milk to bring the mixture into a dough ball... Knead the dough...

Step 5

Roll out the dough  and stamp into rounds with a  cookie cutter....

Cook the Welsh cakes on a hot skillet, hotplate, pancake/crepe maker, non-stick fry pan/bakestone or similar... Cook each side for 4-5 minutes until golden and risen a little...

Step 7

Place the cooked vegan Welsh cakes onto a wire rack and sprinkle with sugar... Enjoy warm with a pat of vegan butter melted over each cake...Or chilled with a dollop of fruit jam...
